The following is a list of our most Frequently Asked Questions:

Dry Erase Boards & Dry Erase Markers

Q:        What do you recommend for cleaning and care of a dry erase board?

A:        The dry erase surface of the board should ideally be cleaned only with a damp wet cloth. If solvents are desired, mild soap and water, 70% isopropyl alcohol, Windex with ammonia, Expo Whiteboard cleaner or other brand whiteboard cleaners may be used. Erasing markers while wet will cause the ink to smear. Allow to dry before erasing.

Abrasives cleaners, citrus cleaners, abrasive srub sponges or erasers (such as Scotch Brite), disinfectant wipes  or other non-approved chemical cleansers can damage the whiteboard surface and therefore void the board warranty.

Q:        Some old markings on the board won’t erase, how do I get them off?

A.        Similar to permanent marker stains on the dry erase board, tracing over the stain on the board with a fresh dry erase marker may  remove the old dry erase marker stains. On porcelain-like boards, TEMP cleaner may be used.

Q:        Do materials other than dry erase markers work on dry erase boards?

A:        Dry erase boards work with dry erase markers. Cleaning other products off the surface may require cleaners that can damage the board.  Also, some marker brands can damage the board surface. DO NOT USE EXPO BRAND MARKERS OR YOU VOID THE BOARD WARANTEE.  The markers available on our site have been found to be effective and non-damaging to the surface.

Q:        If I accidentally use a non-dry erase marker on the dry erase board, how do I clean it?

A:        Try tracing over the stain on the board with a fresh dry erase marker, then erasing.  The solvent in the dry erase marker may lift the stain.

Q:        How do you recommend storing the dry erase markers for maximum performance?

A:        Storing markers horizontally in the eraser holder or a drawer will prolong their life.

 Magnet Handling Instructions

Q:     What do we need to know about magnets?

A:      Super magnets are very strong and require special handling.  Magnets must be handled with care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnets.

1    Separate magnets by sliding them apart.

2    Once separated, do NOT allow them to come too close to each other, otherwise they will snap together resulting in either personal injury or permanently damaging the magnet.

3   Do NOT place anywhere near credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, computers, external hard drives, computer monitors, television sets

and/or similar electronic appliance items.

4   They are not intended for refrigerators.  They will scratch

the finish.

5    Do NOT use or store in an environment exceeding 80C

(degrees Celsius) / 175F (degrees Fahrenheit).

6    These magnets are not toys.  Keep out of the reach of

children (of all ages).  Small magnets pose a choking hazard

and should never be swallowed or inserted into any part of

the body.

7    Seek immediate medical attention if one or more magnets are swallowed or inhaled.

Hardware and Mounting

Q:        What are the mounting hardware options?

A:        Our boards are typically shipped with ‘church-key’ hangers. This looks like an inverted keyhole into which the head of a screw in the wall will fit.

The alternative mount is a ‘Security lock’. These are two or three slotted hangers, depending in board size and weight, which fit over t-screws in the wall. T-screws, wall anchors and the security wrench used to turn or ‘lock’ the screws are included with the each order.

Q:        Do the security mounts come with instructions?

A:        Yes, an instruction sheet included with every security lock order.

Made in the USA

Q:        Are these products made in theUSA?

A:        Unlike our competitors, all of our boards are MADE IN USA. By this we mean that it is assembled in the USA using 80 to 100% USA made materials. Our super strong magnets will continue to originate in China until the California mines reopen and produce custom size magnets. Markers and Erasers are third party items over which we have no control.
